Hello To All,
There is going to be a cancer walk in the North woods of WI where my sisters live. This is the first time they are holding this benefit walk. It will be an 18 mile walk around Lake Namakagon and is called the Namakagon Memorial Cancer Walk (Partners against Cancer). The money will help cancer patients in 3 counties from the area who have cancer but do not have adequate funds for much of their medical needs.
Jack and I have decided to walk in this and are hopefully going to try to walk at least 8 miles of the walk along with my sisters and nieces and nephews.
One of reasons that we have decided to do this is for my sister Carol who has Lymphoma which is a type of cancer. Carol had been doing very well and we just found out recently that there is a cancerous nodule in her lungs. With this type of cancer agressive treatment is not warrented. They will not treat the cancer until symptoms appear such as problems with her breathing and then they will begin treatment. Lymphoma is a very slow growing cancer and although treatable there is no cure as yet.
Jack and I are asking for donations to sponsor us in the walk. The date of the walk is Oct 21st. We are leaving on Friday Oct 20th.
I know this is rather last minute but we just sporatically decided to go to WI next weekend and walk with Carol and Barb's families to support the cause. Any donation would be appreciated,

Checks can be made out to :
MMC Development Corp---Namakagon Cancer Walk.

Please Send Checks to;
P.O. Box 224
Fox River Grove, IL 60021

Thanks to all
Cindy (My Mom:)

Dear Friend,
This year I am participating in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. Making Strides is a non-competitive five-mile walk that takes place in more than 100 cities across the country. Making Strides has no registration fee and no fundraising minimum, which means that more people can participate. However, the many breast cancer programs from of the American Cancer Society depend on the generous donations collected by Making Strides Participants, so I'm asking you to please support me with a donation of any amount. Whether its $5, or $500, every bit truly does help. We're making great strides in our fight against breast cancer, but I won't quit until we're done. Hope Starts Here... With Us!The American Cancer Society's state fundraising notices can be reviewed at : main.acsevents.org/statefundraisingnotices
